Since the 2017 CVC-led acquisition and the subsequent hiring of CEO Georges Kern, Breitling has positioned itself as a casual, inclusive, and sustainable luxury brand, with a unique modern-retro design style that appeals to an increasingly broad consumer base globally.

On December 23rd, 2022, Partners Group led the recapitalisation of the business, increasing its original minority stake (acquired in October 2021) to become the majority shareholder. CVC and the management team reinvested alongside Partners Group, supporting the value creation plan going forward.
